What’s Changed

The full, always-current changelog lives in the game. Open the pack and the News screen on the title screen has a card for every release, and a What’s New card pops once after each update.

This page is the highlights — the changes that actually altered how you play, rather than every version number.

1.10.12 — Aeroworks rollback

The newest airship control gear was causing trouble, so it’s been rolled back to the version that behaved itself.

Three blocks were removed with it

The control stand, and the copycat control desk and stand. These only existed in the newer version. If you had any placed, they are gone — the rest of the build is untouched, but those blocks are not coming back.

Rebuild with the older control blocks. See airships.

Nothing else in the pack moved.

1.10.11 — Quests, and updates that finish

The quest book landed — 43 chapters, from your first log to your first airship, with Claim Blocks among the rewards. See quests.

Also the fix behind a long-running complaint: mods the pack removed sometimes stayed in your folder anyway, and could stop you joining. The cleanup ran after the game closed and could silently fail, leaving no trace anyone would look for. It now works, and says so out loud when it doesn’t.

Switching between Normal and Potato mode was affected by the same bug and also works now — see performance.

1.10 — Head for the Skies

The big one.

  • VR. The whole server, in VR, sharing the same world as desktop players. See vr
  • Drive-By-Wire — take the helm and steer your ship from the cockpit
  • Customizable Player Models
  • A new Season 2 title screen, and much better distant terrain
  • Potato mode, for machines that were struggling

Fixed in the same release: your keybinds, video settings, shader choice and map waypoints now survive updates. They used to be overwritten every time, which was as annoying as it sounds.

Earlier

The updater can update NeoForge, which closed the failure where an update left you unable to launch at all.

Levels were rebuilt. They used to count advancements, and this pack has nearly 9,000 of them — 86% auto-complete the moment you touch an ingredient. So a 30-hour player and a 130-hour player both sat around level 26. Levels are now pure playtime, which is why most levels dropped when it changed. See progression.
